Australian firm Clayton Utz has recruited partner Katie Higgins, adding to a series of recent hires as the firm anticipates growth in local and international opportunities.
Nicholas Poole, partner and head of restructuring and insolvency practice at Clayton Utz, told Asia Business Law Journal: “The team anticipates significant growth in both local and international special situation opportunities … Katie’s global practice, cross-border insolvency experience and international relationships will prove invaluable in supporting clients to manage their local and overseas special situation mandates.”
Higgins, who will join the firm in January, will bring more than 20 years of experience across the finance, property, retail and infrastructure sectors to her new role. She was previously a partner at Jones Day and Henry Davis York.
Her addition to Clayton Utz follows the firm’s recent hires of Maria O’Brien, Geoff Shaw, Amanda Story, Edward Campbell, Suriyaa Rome and Sophy Woodward.
