Nvidia Corp. Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress said the China market remains very competitive and that its percentage of data-center revenue remains below previous levels.
Kress said that Nvidia’s data-center revenue in China grew sequentially in its fiscal second quarter and was a significant contributor to its data-center revenue, but below prior levels.
“As a percentage of total data-center revenue, it remains below levels seen prior to the imposition of export controls,” Kress told analysts in the company’s conference call. “We continue to expect the China market to be very competitive going forward.”
Overall, Nvidia’s data-center revenue soared 154% on a year-ago basis to a record $26.3 billion. On a sequential basis, though, data center revenue was up 16%.
