Nifty charts show bullish reversal pattern. Here’s how to trade tomorrow
The short term trend of Nifty remains negative with high volatility. Emergence of sharp buying and the formation of a positive candle pattern on Tuesday is signaling the occurrence of bullish reversal pattern in the coming sessions. A sustainable move above 24650-24700 could open the next upside towards 24850-24900 levels in the near term. Immediate support is at 24100 levels, said Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities.
Open Interest (OI) data showed that the highest OI on the call side was observed at 24,800 and 25,000 strike prices, while on the put side, it was at 24,300 strike price.

Amount paid on share buyback to be treated as dividend and taxed in hands of shareholders: FM
In a move set to impact investors, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on Tuesday that share buybacks will now be taxed like dividends, starting October 1st. This change will increase the tax liability for shareholders who participate in buybacks. Additionally, the cost incurred by shareholders to acquire these shares will be factored into calculating their capital gains or losses. The Finance Minister justified this change as a measure to promote equity in taxation.

Spotify quarterly earnings hit record, shares surge 14% in premarket trade
Spotify reported a record quarterly profit slightly exceeding analyst forecasts on Tuesday, driving its shares up over 14% in pre-market trading. The Swedish audio-streaming giant managed to cut costs through layoffs and reduced marketing spending last year, while focusing on expanding its user base through promotions and investments in podcasts. Profit reached 1.11 billion euros, slightly above analysts’ expectations of 1.07 billion euros, with earnings per share at 1.33 euros, beating estimates of 1.06 euros according to IBES data from LSEG. Revenue for the second quarter of 2024 rose to 3.81 billion euros ($4.14 billion), just below analysts’ estimates of 3.82 billion euros.
